What You May See During Your Dives
At night, familiar dive sites feel completely different. Many creatures become more active, colours appear stronger under torchlight, and small details you’d normally miss start to stand out.
What you see always depends on the dive, the conditions, and a bit of luck — and that’s part of what makes night diving so memorable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is night diving safe?
Yes. With proper training, equipment, and supervision, night diving is calm and well controlled.
Do I need previous night diving experience?
No. This specialty is designed for divers who have never dived at night before.
Will I be diving in complete darkness?
No. You’ll use a dive torch, and dives are planned so visibility and conditions remain comfortable.
Is this course only about night diving?
No. The skills also apply to low-visibility situations, such as cloudy water or reduced light during the day.
Can I fly after my last dive?
The general rule for flying after diving is to wait 12 hours after one dive, and 18 hours after two or more dives. If you went over your no decompression limits, or missed a safety stop on the dive, it is advised to wait 24 hours.
What if I feel unsure before the dive?
That’s completely normal. The course is paced so you have time to adjust before entering the water.
