React Right Course in Koh Tao
React Right is SSI’s first aid and emergency response course, giving you the training and knowledge you need to act as a first responder in a medical emergency.
In this programme, you will learn primary assessment, first aid, CPR and primary stabilisation techniques, and more.
You will also learn oxygen administration in diving emergencies and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) basics.
It’s a great course to build confidence for future training, including Stress & Rescue.
WHY DO THE REACT RIGHT COURSE WITH ECHO DIVERS?
Feel Calm When It Matters
You’ll learn a simple structure for emergencies, so you can slow down, think clearly, and do the right thing first. It’s about staying steady, not trying to be a hero.
Real Practice, Not Just Talking
You’ll actually run through scenarios and practise hands-on skills, so you leave with confidence — not just “I watched a slideshow”.
The goal is for the steps to feel natural.
Perfect Before Stress & Rescue
If Rescue is next on your list, this is the foundation. It makes the Rescue course smoother and a lot more realistic, because you already know
what to do on the surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the react right course take?
Most people finish the React Right course in one day. If you prefer, we can also split it across two shorter sessions.
Do I need to be a diver?
No. You don’t need any dive certification or experience to join.
What will I learn?
Primary assessment, first aid basics, and CPR — with hands-on practice so it feels natural.
Is oxygen provider and AED included?
Yes, they are included in your React Right course.
Why is oxygen training useful for divers?
In suspected dive-related injuries, oxygen is widely recommended as first aid while you organise proper medical help. DAN explains it clearly.
Do I need this for Stress & Rescue?
While React Right is the official SSI program, SSI generally accepts any recognised, current CPR/First Aid certification (within the last 2 years) that includes both primary and secondary care.
Here is a breakdown of acceptable certifications:
– SSI React Right: This is the preferred program, which includes first aid, CPR, AED, and often includes Oxygen Administration.
– PADI Emergency First Response (EFR): Widely accepted as an equivalent.
– DAN (Divers Alert Network) Training: Courses like Diving First Aid for Professionals (DFA) are highly regarded.
Other Recognised Organisations: Red Cross, American Heart Association, or other equivalent emergency care certifications.
Important Notes:
Requirements: To qualify for the SSI Rescue Diver certification, you must have proof of CPR/First Aid training within the last 24 months.
Oxygen Administration: While not always required by all agencies for basic CPR/FA, having an O2 provider certification (included in React Right) is strongly recommended for diving.
